We are proud to share that the Stamford Youth Mental Health Alliance (YMHA) will receive the 2026 SPEF Community Giving Award, and Dr. Bianca Shinn-Desras of Domus will be honored with the 2026 SPEF Leadership Award at the annual Excellence in Education Awards.
The celebration will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Italian Center of Stamford. Tickets can be purchased on the SPEF website.
The Stamford Youth Mental Health Alliance, under the leadership of its Co-Chairs, Vin Tufo and Jody Bishop-Pullan, was selected for this honor because of its unwavering commitment to advancing youth mental health awareness, expanding access to services, and strengthening coordinated support across Stamford. In doing so, these efforts have made a meaningful and lasting impact on our students, families, and the broader community.
Dr. Desras is being recognized for her outstanding leadership and commitment to empowering young people through her work at Domus. Her steadfast advocacy and service exemplify the spirit of the SPEF Leadership Award.
