West Side Neighborhood Revitalization Zone
The West Side Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (WSNRZ) is a coalition of local residents, homeowners, landlords, merchants, and organizations who share news, seek input, and discuss pressing issues and opportunities that affect the neighborhood. Sponsored by Charter Oak Communities (COC), WSNRZ is a forum open to everyone with an interest in the West Side to express concerns and examine impactful decisions involving our community.
Vita Health and Wellness Partnership
The Vita Health and Wellness Partnership is a multilateral coalition promoting community health and wellbeing and COC’s signature initiative. Vita brings together Stamford Hospital, Optimus Healthcare, New Covenant Center, Family Centers, Children’s Learning Centers and a host of local partners to impact the ‘social determinants of health.’ A walk-in primary care center has been located at our Fairgate community along with an independent, socially-oriented pharmacy. Dovetail
When groups of people unite for the common good, they can transform every aspect of society—from housing and food security to education and health. It’s happening now, part of a growing movement of connecting local governments, businesses, nonprofits, and citizens, and it’s making a lasting difference in the places we call home.Dovetail Social Innovation Platform is the incubator for interconnected communities. We’re working with communities at the local level and developing tools to make the movement scalable nationwide. We’re also working on an integrated media campaign to promote and popularize this growing movement—so more people can experience positive change right in their own neighborhoods. Fairgate Farm
Fairgate Farm is a volunteer-powered, urban agricultural program that has become the ‘heart’ of the West Side neighborhood. Fairgate grows thousands of pounds of fruit and vegetables annually, holds cooking classes and food-themed festivals, hosts nutritional education events, and encourages everyone in the community to come “get their hands dirty” at the farm. Fairgate Farm welcomes school groups, visitors and volunteers from organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, local corporations and anyone interested in helping out, learning and having fun throughout the planting, growing and harvest seasons. Volunteers are welcome to enjoy the organic produce at home. What’s left is shared via regular deliveries to local hunger relief organizations such as the New Covenant Center, food banks and shelters for the homeless. Family Centers
Charter Oak Communities is pleased to offer resident services throughout all of its communities thanks to our unique partnership with Stamford’s premier human services provider, Family Centers. Offering personalized support intended to foster resident leadership and community cohesion while promoting independence and quality of life, Family Centers began as a part of the Fairfield Court revitalization about 12 years ago. Inspirica
Inspirica is one of the largest providers of services to the homeless in Connecticut and the largest in lower Fairfield County, operating 11 facilities in lower Fairfield County that provide an extensive array of support services, including vocational training, workforce education, job placement, housing placement, job & housing retention support, early childhood & parenting services, children’s services, counseling, case management, and much more.

Boys & Girls Club of Stamford
The Boys & Girls Club of Stamford is a dedicated youth facility that is open daily, managed by professional staff and made available and affordable to all youth. They serve more than 1,600 Children (ages 6-18), offering programs and services to promote and enhance their development, inspiring confidence, a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence in this POSITIVE PLACE FOR KIDS.
The Mission of Boys & Girls Club of Stamford is to enable all youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
